At Inaiyan Marketplace, every product is carefully packed and quality-checked before dispatch. Because we deal in native food products, oils, spices, and handcrafted items, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect selection, or any reason other than those listed below.


1. When We Accept a Refund or Replacement

We will process a replacement or full refund only in the following two situations. No return shipment is required in either case.

1.1 Damaged Product

If your order arrives physically damaged — for example, a broken bottle, crushed container, torn packaging, or leaking product — we will replace or refund it at no cost to you. You do not need to send the product back.

1.2 Wrong Product Delivered

If you receive a product that is different from what you ordered (wrong item, wrong variant, wrong quantity), we will replace or refund it at no cost to you. You do not need to send the product back.


2. What We Do Not Accept

We are unable to process refunds or replacements for the following:

  • Change of mind or incorrect product selection by the customer.
  • Products that have been opened, used, or tampered with.
  • Dissatisfaction with taste, smell, colour, or texture — these are natural characteristics of native products and may vary batch to batch.
  • Claims raised after 48 hours of delivery.
  • Damage caused by improper storage or handling after delivery.

All sales are final except in the two cases mentioned in Section 1.


3. How to Report a Damaged or Wrong Item

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery — claims raised after this window cannot be accepted.
  2. Reach us via:

    • Your Order ID
    • Clear photographs of the damaged item or wrong product — including the outer packaging, the product itself, and the shipping label.
    • A brief description of the issue.
  4. Our team will review within 1 business day and confirm whether your claim is approved.
  5. No return shipment is required — once approved, we will dispatch a replacement or process your refund directly.

4. Replacement vs. Refund

Once your claim is approved, you may choose either:

  • Replacement — we send the correct or undamaged product, subject to stock availability. Dispatched within 2–3 business days.
  • Full Refund — refunded to your original payment method.

6. Important Notes

  • No return shipment is needed — all approved claims are resolved via replacement or direct refund.
  • Inaiyan Marketplace reserves the right to deny claims where photographs are unclear, insufficient, or inconsistent with the reported issue.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error is on our part.
  • For multi-item orders, only the damaged or wrong item(s) are eligible — not the entire order.
  • Our decision on claims is final. We will always act fairly and in good faith.
